Bridgestone Turanza AR20 Tyre Compound
Bridgestone Turanza AR20 tyre gets highly durable tread compounds and improved tyre profile which ensure minimum tread wear. The flexible rubber compound along with new rubber polymers, tread blocks and main groove design makes this tyre safe enough to run in control on wet and dry conditions. Like the other Bridgestone tyres, the Turanza AR20 also comes with a continuous nylon wrap which avails it a higher level of uniformity thereby enabling it to deliver enhanced performance and keep its original shape.
Bridgestone Turanza AR20 Tyre Construction Type
The Turanza AR20 tyre borrows some construction cues from Bridgestone MY-02 tyre. The Flat Contact Patch (FCP), unlike a traditional tyre, gets squared shoulders which allow a larger tread area to come in contact with the road thereby remarkably improving the handling dynamics. Its square profile also has other great advantages such as prevention from irregular tyre wear and fewer tyre deformations while cornering. Besides, the O-Bead at Turanza AR20 sidewall is additional construction feature which assures more precise and even fit of the tyre to the rim. Also, the durability of this tyre is very good with the incorporated dual steel belts.
Verdict
Bridgestone AR20 tyre, compared to its rivals Bridgestone 250, Michelin Energy XM2, Goodyear Duraplus and Yokohama A-Drive is quite a durable product with excellent on road performance. The sidewall of the AR20 tyre is very strong and ensures superior handling. Moreover, the tread pattern when compared to Michelin Energy XM2 looks far better. For cars like Maruti Alto and Maruti Wagon R, Bridgestone Turanza AR20 is slightly an expensive option as there are the likes of Apollo, CEAT and JK Tyre already selling cheaper tyres which have proved to be value for money options for entry level cars. However, for cars like Maruti Swift, Hyundai i20 and Honda Jazz installing Turanza AR20 tyres can result in better performance by paying some extra bucks.
