Tyre Expo 2016 India: Another Benchmark For The Domestic Tyre Industry

Tyre Expo 2016 India

Believe it or not, the craziness for passenger cars and two-wheelers has led the vigorous growth of the tyre industry. The business network of tyres is a global one and has unique prospects of its own. At present, due to the emergence of the state of the art manufacturing facilities and availability of natural rubber in abundance, India in the next decade, could become one of the largest tyre manufacturers in the world. To tap into this potential phenomenon, SingEx Exhibitions have been organising Tyre Expo for past two years in the country. After the successful run last year in Chennai, the latest Tyre Expo was organised in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. This year the grand tyre event was scheduled from 14 to 16 June 2016.

This event has the speciality of its own when it comes to cars, bikes and heavy duty vehicles. The visitor procurement list included tyres for two-wheelers, passenger cars, light and heavy commercial vehicles, accessories and equipment. Like Delhi Auto Expo, the top tyre brands such as Bosch, Elgi Rubber and alike, gather in this jumbo event to showcase their range of products and maximise opportunities in this field. There were 40 exhibitors from India, 18 from China and remaining were from Vietnam, Thailand, United Kingdom (UK) and Indonesia. In all, a total of 70 exhibitors, including the top 10 tyre brands, marked their presence at the tyre event.

Come, let us have a look at the four important objectives of India’s most popular tyre event, the Tyre Expo 2016:

1. Strengthening local tyre market: As we are aware, one of the main objectives of such tyre events is to strengthen the local market. This feat can only be achieved by bringing together home-grown and international tyre companies on a single platform like this to share the vast knowledge and experience. The event is the ideal platform for buyers and sellers in the growing tyre trade community of India.

2. Hands-on experience with new products and services: We want perfection in life. Isn’t it? Nowadays, we don’t buy anything without the active participation. Here comes the exact purpose of such events. Auto freaks like us get the opportunity to discover a wide range of products, services and solution that are in line with the contemporary need of the market. Hence, not only the visitors but the exhibitors are also able to find key solutions related to repair and maintenance, IT services, tyre disposal and recycling, re-treading and vulcanisation, industrial safety and other smart and sustainable solutions that could help run their local business more proficiently.

3. Sharpening skills and expertise: Most of us want to be skilful enough to make ourselves stand out from the rest. That is why the workshop at Tyre Expo has been termed as one of the essential components of the event meant for honing the skills of engineers and experts and abreast them with the latest tyre news and development in the industry. It also helps sharpen the skills of the people involved in tyre repairing trade to produce quality services. Moreover, the interactive talk seminar also brings closer the auto enthusiasts, distributors, retailers and like-minded entities to discuss business opportunities and other contemporary issues of the tyre industry.

4. Fortify decision-making process: Everyday, we are inundated with decisions, whether big or small. The Tyre Expo witnessed over 40 percent of the trade visitors that have key positions in their respective companies. That shows how this event would play a key role in the decision making process of these companies with respect to the upcoming financial year.

The Tyre Expo 2016 concluded on a positive note. The event will help cement its position in the industry as an ideal platform for tyre and equipment companies looking forward to expanding their business portfolio. The next Tyre Expo will be held next year at Chennai Trade Centre Hall 1, Chennai from 11 to 13 July 2017.
