On October 13, 2017, Japan’s 2nd largest tyre maker Yokohama Rubber Company will celebrate their 100th Anniversary. To celebrate the occasion the company has unveiled a centenary logo, specially made for the occasion. The company said that the logo is meant for the appreciation of their customers, business partners and various stakeholders without whom this journey of 100 years would not have been possible.
Yokohama has seen some tough times in the last century of its existence. It was completely destroyed in an earthquake in 1923. After two decades, during II World War the company’s plant was bombed by the allied forces. Other than these two major events Yokohama also faced and stood firm in the face of stock market crashes, OPEC oil embargo, and recessions. But all these couldn’t prevent the company from becoming a global brand of value and trust. In the 100th year of its operations, the company is upbeat to continue the good work and improve the lives of its customers worldwide by providing great products.
What Does Yokohama’s New Logo Represent?
● 5 Red Lines – Shows company’s intent to work for better future and with more fervour than ever.
● Interlinked Zero (0) – This represents Yokohama’s commitment to work closely with their stakeholders, business partners and shareholders to serve the customers around the world for many more years to come.
