The French tyre giant Michelin recently announced the launch of what it calls “India’s most fuel-efficient tyre” for commercial vehicles. The new tyre is named Michelin X Multi Energy Z+. It is specially designed and engineered for Indian road conditions.
The tyre offers the industry’s lowest rolling resistance and is said to save drivers up to 15% on fuel consumption. Moreover, it is also believed to contribute to environmental savings, as it reduces carbon dioxide emissions by about 8 tons.
For big vehicles such as trucks, the X Multi Energy Z+ tyre comes in a tubeless configuration and is 295/80 R22.5 in size. This is an upgrade from the company’s X Multi Energy Z range.
Michelin India’s Managing Director, Shantanu Deshpande told the media that the company is very optimistic and excited to launch the next-gen Michelin X Multi Energy Z+ for Indian drivers. Back in 2020, the company successfully launched the Michelin X Multi Energy Z range, it was received well overall.
Fuel costs alone contribute about 60% of the operating expenses for the Indian fleet currently. Michelin X Multi Energy Z+ is the answer to this issue. This tyre ensures better fuel efficiency.
The new X Multi Energy Z+ tyre range is available throughout India at all authorised Michelin dealerships.
