It was launched in the sub-four meter compact SUV segment which was then, currently too, turning out to be the highest growing segment in the Indian car market. Over the years, EcoSport got regular exterior and interior refinement to keep pace with the trend. The facelift 2017 model get hoards of updates including the bigger front grille, revised bumper, revamped alloy wheels and new infotainment unit and top of it, an all-new 1.5 L petrol mill.

Ford EcoSport Tyres
Ford EcoSport is available in five different variants i.e. Ambiente, Trend, Trend+, Titanium and Titanium+. Ford EcoSport tyre size of the Ambient and Trend variant measures 195/65 R15 and comes equipped with radial tubeless technology. Its mid trims Trend+ and Titanium gets 205/60 R16 tubeless tyres while the new top-end model Titanium+ gets 205/50 R17 radial tubeless tyres. In terms of wheel covers, Ford EcoSport car tyres for the Ambiente, Trend and Trend+ feature steel wheels while the Titanium and Titanium+ model gets alloy wheels.

The updated Ford EcoSport continues to clash with arch-rival Renault Duster while more cars have joined the league namely Honda WR-V, Maruti Vitara Brezza, Mahindra TUV 300, Nissan Terrano and Tata Nexon.
Ford EcoSport exteriors bring in a fresh fascia and rejuvenated rear for EcoSport. The hexagonal radiator grill is now reworked, removing the thin strip on top of the grille. The front bumper is entirely refreshed with a larger but squared-off new fog lamps and projector headlamps with LED DRLs.
Inside, the most prominent change is the large floating infotainment screen that is mounted atop the centre console. The infotainment unit integrates Ford’s new SYNC3 connectivity system that features Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other features included in the list are automatic headlamps, cruise control, automatic climate control and glove box illumination.
Mechanically, Ford is available in diesel and petrol engine option along with automatic gearbox option. Its new 1.5 L petrol mill of the Dragon family is capable of producing the power output of 123 PS at 6500 rpm and yield the peak torque of 150 Nm at 4500 rpm.The 6-speed Automatic option is available in Trend+ and Titanium+ variants while the other trims come mated to 5-speed manual transmission. The diesel mill on the other hand, is the 1.5 L motor that can generate the power of 100 PS at 3750 rpm and produces peak torque of 205 Nm at 1750-3250 rpm, mated to 5-speed manual gearbox.

i have ecosport thunder which has 205/50 r17. i want to downsize to 205/65 r16. is it good size?

We would recommend not to change the stock tyres with205/65R16 as this size does not come under the permissible limit of tyre upsizing / downsizing when compared with 205/50R17.
You can change your stock tyre with 205/55R16 tyre size, also make sure that you have to change the rim also while changing the tyre from 17″ sizes to 16″ sizes.

I have Ecosport 1.5(P) Titanium Plus MT having low profile tyres 205/50 r17, I want to replace tyres with high profile. Plesase suggest what will be the best. Roads on India are not good so please suggest accordingly.

Currently, the industry manufactures 17 inch tyres with a minimum width of 205. In order to increase the profile you will have to increase the width as well. 245/45 R17 will be the best option for you as it is well within the 3% difference margin. But it will not make a huge difference as the side wall height will be increased only by a centimetre approximately. This will not fit to 205/50/R-17
I have Ford Eco sport (Signature) which has tyre size 205/50 R17, it got busted twice on the damaged roads because of the bumps. Can i change the size to 205/55 R17 which was suggested by few people.
Also will it be advisable use different sizes for front (205/55 R17) and back (205/50 R17).
Even i have EcoSport Signature, and i my tire also busted multiple time. So i am going for 205/55/17.

I have 2018 model Ford Ecosport Diesel Titanium with 205/60/R16 MRF tyres. My Odo has crossed 90K and still my tyres are left with some tread (15% more than the tread wear indicator). I travel around 80Kms daily for my office (50% city & village roads filled with poth holes & patch roads, balance 50% on highways). One problem now I face is the tyre noise & stiffness in ride quality. Otherwise the tyre is good in performance. Kindly let me know if I should change my tyres (with the current tread condition I hope it will last for more than a year for my useage). I do not drive harshly or above 90 KPH in general. Also, Kindly let me know which brand of tyre suits me well for my driving condition.

Hi Gazen, Yes you can go ahead with this change.
Why? The only difference is the sidewall height for 3%. I think the odometer reading a little bit low compair to actual reading only this problem encountered.

My 2022 Escoport Titanium have for summer 205/50R17. I have been advised I shud get 195/60R16 (of course new rims) tires for winter. I am wondering how stable and for handling they are compared to the 17″ wheels. Since I don’t see this tire sized marked on the drivers door panel. Does this in anyway void my warrantee

195/60 R16 is a compatible size for your vehicle so you can go ahead and get that. You will have to find out from your vehicle manufacturer for your warranty query.
