BMW X1 Tyre

From the house of Munich, Bavaria based luxury automobile manufacturer, the BMW X1 is the second generation sub-compact luxury SUV vastly diverse from its predecessor. Having won the 10 Best awards for 2018, the BMW X1 is a car with a difference. Quick, nimble, spacious, well built and undeniably upscale, the BMW X1 for the first time is based on a new front-wheel-drive UKL architecture. The new car is now taller and very much looks like the legitimate sibling to the BMW X3 and BMW X5.

BMW X1 Tyres

The ‘driving pleasure’ BMW X1 is available in three variants: Expedition, xLine and M Sport. The wheelbase of the new BMW X1 has increased by 90 mm. The tyre size of Expedition variant is 225/55 R17 while the xLine and M Sport variants come fitted with 225/50 R18 tyres. However, all the trims are fitted with high-quality alloy wheels made up of cast aluminium, which confers the BMW X1 an even more authoritative stance. The BMW X1 sDrive20d Expedition is fitted with 17″ light alloy wheel, double spoke style 385, while the BMW X1 sDrive20d xLine is fitted with 18″ light alloy wheel, Y-Spoke style 569. The top end M Sport comes with 18″ M light alloy wheel, which is double-spoke style 570 M Bicolour. The BMW X1 models launched during 2010-2016 were fitted with 225/50 R17 tyres.

Know more about BMW X1…

BMW made a few changes to its smallest crossover, which was fully redesigned and introduced in 2016. While the previous generation was available with an inline-six-cylinder engine and rear-wheel drive, the new BMW X1 rolls out on an all-new front wheel drive. Giving its owners a ticket into the elite club of luxury car owners, the new BMW X1 stands certainly ahead of its competitors like Audi X3, Mercedes Benz GLA and Volvo XC 40.

The BMW X1 not just looks bigger; it is also taller and larger carrying the X-family’s legacy. The front consists of circular headlamps with LED DLRs. The sporty look is retained with the plastic cladding, a roof-mounted spoiler, sloping roofline, wrap-around tail lamps and dual exhaust pipes. Because of extensively used aluminium, the new BMW X1 is 135 kg lighter than the earlier model.

The crossover gets enhanced cabin space, with much attention given to the rear passengers, where they can enjoy more headroom, legroom and knee room. It gets a revised iDrive system with a 6.5 inch or 8.5-inch display, customary dual zone climate control, cruise control, electrically operated sunroof and electrically adjustable and retractable mirrors befitting its segment.

The BMW X1 is equipped with safety gears such as parking sensors, 6 airbags, ABS, DSC, Dynamic Traction Control, Hill Descent Control and many more.

The new BMW X1 is currently sold with a sole choice of diesel engine, while a petrol variant will soon make its way to India. Currently, the diesel engine is 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged unit which comes with BMW’s TwinPower Turbo technology, allowing the engine to develop a higher output of 188 PS power and 400 Nm of torque, yet coming with a promising class-leading fuel mileage of 20.68 kmpl reduces the consumption by 17%. The transmission is an eight-speed Steptronic automatic gearbox and also gets the X-drive all-wheel-drive option.

The pricing for the 6th generation of BMW 7 Series opens at Rs 1.2 Cr. for the Ld Eminence diesel trim.
