Bajaj Avenger started off with a 150 cc engine and moved on to 180 cc, 200 cc and 220 cc engines. Bajaj Avenger Tyre
Bajaj Avenger Street 160 is the standard avatar of the original Avenger. The bike is fitted with 90/90 – 17 tubeless tyres at the front and 130/90 – 15 tubeless tyres at rear and features alloy wheels. Similarly, Avenger Street 220 has 90/90 – 17 tyres at the front and 130/90 – 15 tyres at the rear, and comes with tubeless tyres and alloy wheels. Finally, Avenger Cruise 220 is fitted with 90/90 – 17 49P and 130/90 -15 66P tyres at front and rear correspondingly featuring spoke wheels. The Avenger Cruise 220 variant is made available with tube type tyre.

Bajaj Avenger Street 220 and Cruise 220 share a similar engine i.e. twin spark, 2 valve, DTS-i engine, oil-cooled with a displacement of 220 cc. Both the engines produce a max power of 13.99 kW (19.03 PS) at 8400 rpm and peak torque of 17.5 Nm at 7000 rpm. Bajaj Avenger Street 160 comes with a twin spark, 2 valves, DTS-i engine, an air-cooled engine with a displacement of 160 cc. It produces a max power of 11.03 kW (15 PS) at 8500 rpm and a max torque of 13.5 Nm at 7000 rpm. All the three engines of the Bajaj Avenger are mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
