Tyrexpo Asia Singapore 2017 - Day 2 Highlights

Yesterday marked the end of the successful Day 2 of Tyrexpo Asia Singapore 2017. This year’s 11th edition is going to bring more than 250 firms from over 20 countries and around 6,000 industry players from Asia-Pacific region. Moreover, this year the first GarageXpo Asia 2017 is also being held alongside Tyrexpo Asia. These events are taking place with the other two events namely – the World Rubber Summit (WRS) and the Rubber Exchange Forum (REF).

Morning – Exhibition, Tyre Talk Seminar, and Tyrexpo Technical Workshop
Evening – Tyrexpo Business Matching (Scheduled Meetings)

On the 2nd day of Tyrexpo Asia Singapore 2017, Mr Tony Rhoades, Managing Director of Pre Chasm Research Limited and developer of Vuelytics, showed the audience the future of Big Tyre Data and the possibilities of Artificial Intelligence in tyre asset management. It was also announced that the UK-based telematics firm PCRL Vuelytics will launch an AI solution able to make complex decisions about tyre condition and general road worthiness.

At Tyre Talk, Terrence Wong, a telematics expert shared with the audience about how businesses can transform their processes with cloud-based solutions. David Lim, discussed new refrigerant requirements in automotive air-conditioning systems. While Nathan Banyeres and Andre Moritz discussed how to develop safe tyres in an ever demanding market. Moreover, Mr Bireswar Banerjee discussed the economic and environmental benefits of retreading.

The interesting event was the automotive skills competition where 8 students are battling to be the winner. The winner will be announced on 23rd March in the finale. In Tyrexpo Technical Workshop, HLT International’s experts displayed a method of curing paint that shortens a 2 day process to only 3-7 minutes. Also today, Stamford Tyres (one of the largest independent tyres and wheels distributor in South East Asia) launched the Firenza radial tyres in Asia-Pacific region for the first time at Tyrexpo Asia. These tyres are designed for steering and trailer application.

Thursday, 23rd March – 2017, will be the last day of the Tyrexpo Asia Singapore and a lot is expected from the final day.
