1) Keep Track of Rubber
It’s very natural to have lots of dew during long winter nights. 2) Keep Checking Tyres

But you should make sure that there are no cracks in the tyres, they have sufficient tread left and their sidewalls are in good condition. If your tyres have any of the mentioned issues then better change them as soon as possible. Because in winters roads are slippery and along with fog will make life worse for you, if you have badly shaped tyres.

3) Take a Break to Check the Brakes

4) Give Your Car Time
Car idling is something that is required in winters for a car to start. We know you are in a hurry but giving couple of minutes to your car won’t harm. It will actually allow the oil to get loose (as it thickens due to cold temperatures). Think of it as a warm up before a hectic day.
5) Look for Wipers’ Health
In fog and dew, wipers will help you drive safely. So you must check their blades. If they are not in a good shape then go for a blade change. Never compromise on this aspect of winter preparations. You never know when it gets too dark and misty.
6) Keep Heating System Ready
India is basically a warm and humid country. Barring few months most of the year we never use heating systems of our vehicles. So as the winter approaches check that your heating system is working well or not. Get it repaired, in case it has problems. You will require heater every now and then.
TIP: Using heater in “Recirculating Mode” for more than 20 minutes can cause you or your passengers a slight dizziness. Therefore, it is recommended to use the heater on intervals and that too not for a long period of time.
7) Go For Service at The Onset of The Season
The best thing to tackle winter with flying colours is to take your vehicle for a seasonal servicing at your nearest service station. An advance planning for winters will be a perfect answer to all these above discussed winter troubles.
