As an automotive enthusiast, what would you like to buy with INR 4 crore in your pocket? A breathtaking Bentley Bentayga, or a set of inimitable car tyres. Yes, that’s true. Encrusted with 24 carat gold and select diamonds, a set of four tyres was sold for 2.2 million dirhams (USD 600,000 or INR 4.01 crore) at REIFEN Trade Fair in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). The set of exclusive tyres has found its place in the Guinness book of records for being ‘World’s Most Expensive Car Tyres’.
These gold embedded car tyres were developed by Z Tyres Dubai, a tyre firm owned by an NRI. As per the company website, they were designed in Dubai and decorated by the world’s select Italian artisan jewellers. The craftsmen who have created a masterpiece in the form of a new presidential palace in Abu Dhabi were given the task of fine gold leaf application work on the tyres.
Zenises Foundation, the parent company of Z Tyres’, stated that an anonymous buyer ordered these set of exclusive tyres. Although, the curiosity is all-time high to determine the extremely lucky vehicle on which these unique tyres will be fitted.
The tyre company will donate all the profits earned through this deal to Zenises Foundation, which works to improve the access of education across the world. The custom made tyres were inspected by the experts from Guinness and were granted the title of being the most expensive car tyres in the world.
