Tire Technology Expo 2018 To Begin From 20th Feb 2018

Europe’s most awaited tyre show, Tire Technology Expo 2018 is scheduled for 20-22 Feb’ 18. The three-day tyre event starting on Tuesday, 20th Feb 2018 is venued at Deutsche Messe, Messegelaende Hanover 30521 DE, Germany. The 2018 Tire Technology Expo will feature more than 290 exhibitors from across the globe and a wide variety of courses aimed at tyre designing and manufacturing. The exhibitor-list of the 18th international tyre event also includes presenters from the India subcontinent. The last edition of the event witnessed a footfall of around 5000 visitors and as many as 280 companies as exhibitors. Moreover, this time the promising tyre event is all set to create new records in terms of excitement and visitor volume.

Europe’s leading international tyre design and tyre manufacturing exhibition and conference will attract world’s most important suppliers to tyre manufacturing business. Besides this, there will be a major conference, workshop programme followed by industry-leading awards dinner. Tire Technology Expo will provide a solid networking opportunity to the visitors, exhibitors and conference delegates in the tire manufacturing sector. The 2018 tyre show will showcase a pool of advanced tyre technologies and will host a number of short courses designed keeping in mind engineers and researchers working in the industry as well as academia.

From the Indian perspective, participants coming as exhibitors in the Tire Technology Expo 2018 include All India Rubber Industries Association, Aradhya Steel Pvt. Ltd., Bainite Machines Pvt. The tyre technologies that will be displayed at the tyre industry event include (a) Valve technology (b) Smart tire and sensor technology (c) Tire design and simulation software (d) Hydraulic and pneumatic actuators (e) Engineering services (f) Vehicle dynamics testing (g) Tire research facilities, drive systems and many others. Moreover, the short courses will incorporate the likes of Tire Mathematical Modelling short course, 46th Tire Mechanics short course, Basic Rubber Compounding short course, Tire Regulations short course, The Effects of Road Surface and Tire Reinforcing Materials short course.

The three-day conference programme is divided into several streams/sessions on each day. Day 1 will commence with keynotes from the eminent speakers like Mr. Tony Robinson (Chairman & CEO, Founder of Tire Technology Expo, UK.), Mr. Enno Straten (Head of commercial speciality tires, Continental Reifen Deutschland GmbH Germany), Mr. Hiroaki Kawasaki (Technical manager, Sumitomo Rubber Industries Ltd., Japan), Dr Katsuhiko Tsunoda (Fellow, Bridgestone Corporation, Japan). This will be followed by an important Panel Discussion on Next-Generation Tire Technology by prominent panellists.

While Day 2 will feature topics such as Business Strategy, Research for Sustainable and Reclaimed Materials, Polymer to Filler Interactions, Young Scientist Developments, New Rubber Compound Additives etc. The last day of the 2018 Tire Technology Expo will focus on subjects like Natural Rubber and the Science of Sustainable Materials, Innovative and Experimental Tire Concepts, Tire as an Information Source and many others.

Some important display of products on the tyre show comprise of Conti Thermo Protect Thermal Insulation by Conti Tech Elastomer Beschinchtungen GmbH, PSI FLS Fuzzy Logik & Neuro Systeme GmbH will exhibit ‘Qualicision’ – a range of product solutions for optical quality control of tires, and among others FineLine Technologies will come with Barcode and RFID enabled tire labelling solutions.

Moreover, a leading manufacturer of conveyor and processing belts, Forbo Siegling will showcase ‘Unique service and belting solution’ in any temperature, CMV Hoven and Tekscan Inc will display their most up-to-date tire footprint distribution measurement products, while TROESTER GmbH & Co. KG will present its ROTOMEX technology ZX Series for straining of rubber compounds.

My need for speed began at a very early age and I realised this as soon as I got my first bicycle at the age of 8. When all the other kids would break downhill I would pedal harder just to go faster and enjoy the thrill. Adding to my interest for speed, I grew engrossed in the working mechanics of two wheelers thanks to my father as he is a hydraulic mechanic and would take me along with him on his repair sessions. Eventually I became familiar with the tools and basic technical concepts of two wheelers.Super sport and sport tourers are more of my liking and the sparks to these flames were ignited the first time I experienced the maddening power of a Yamaha YZF R1. I was just 14 years old at the time and got to ride as a pillion with an older acquaintance. This one short ride influenced my every decision in terms of the bikes I want to own. As of today I’m 26 years old and a proud owner of a Yamaha Fz15 version 2.0 and a Kawasaki Ninja 650 2014 model having clocked a decent 30k Kms only while touring, waiting to clock 1000s more as riding makes me feel whole again after enduring the dismal routines of life.
