Suzuki Motorcycles India introduced their latest sensation in the form of Suzuki Intruder last year. Dubbed as India’s modern cruiser, Intruder’s Fuel Injected (FI) version was launched this year at the Indian Auto Expo 2018. The overall designing of the bike is derived from the original big brothers Intruder M1800 and M800. Though it has got a love-it or hate-it design at first stance, but a close look for a while will make you fall in love with it. The cruiser bike receives a muscular design, head-turner projector LED headlamp, sleek LED tail lamp, twin exhaust along with an impressively sculpted fuel tank. Moreover, the very reliable and informative digital instrument cluster is borrowed from the Suzuki Gixxer.

Specifications
Although broadly, the Intruder is based on the Gixxer platform, however, some tweaks here and there make it more capable. The versatile base is extended a bit for that cruiser feel and gets a revised suspension set up for superior comfort. The 155cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder motor now gets a larger airbox and new exhaust system, and is offered with a choice of fuel-injection or conventional carburettor. The power and torque numbers go unchanged with 14.8 PS at 8000 rpm and 14 Nm at 6000 rpm for power and torque respectively.
Mileage
The Suzuki Intruder features the same engine as in Gixxer, but the former is heavier by 8 kg. As a result, the ARAI certified fuel efficiency has gone down by nearly a litre and now stands at 47.6 kmpl.
