TVS Eurogrip Tyres To Be The Key Sponsor Of The Gujarat Lions’ IPL Team

India’s leading two-wheeler and three-wheeler tyre maker, TVS Eurogrip Tyres continues its tradition of getting associated with country’s popular sports events. After partnering with Pro Kabaddi League, Hockey India League and others, the Chennai-based tyre manufacturer will now be seen as the principal sponsor of the Gujarat Lions franchisee in the ninth season of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

The 9th edition of IPL is all set to begin from April 9 onwards. Here, the newbie, Gujarat Lions will be seen representing the city of Rajkot under the captainship of Indian batsman, Suresh Raina. All the players of the team will be presented with brand ‘TVS Eurogrip TYRES’ inscribed jerseys, as a part of this engagement, together with their other training kits comprising of the same.

Mr. P. Vijay Raghavan, director, TVS Srichakra Ltd. stated that they were pleased to partner with Gujarat Lions which have come forward as one of the strong franchisees and sound contender for the 2016 IPL title. He was confident that this association will prove to be an exciting platform for them to touch their customers and recall their brand to the masses.

Intex Technologies director and Gujarat Lions owner Mr. Keshav Bansal felt elated on getting associated with a powerful brand like TVS Eurogrip Tyres and said that both the promising companies, Intex and TVS Eurogrip tyres, have been associated with sports by a sole motive of brand recognition and customer engagement, thus, the alliance hopes for a positive outcome.

The Gujarat Lions squad comprises of talented international players such as Aaron Finch, Brendon Mc Cullum, Dwayne Smith, Dwayne Bravo, Dale Steyn, Andrew Tye, while the domestic listing includes the names of Amit Mishra, Ravindra Jadeja, Umesh Sharma and others.

A total of 14 matches will be played by the Gujarat Lions in the ninth edition of the IPL season, out of which seven matches will be hosted by two of their home venues i.e. Rajkot and Kanpur. Moreover, at the stadium of Rajkot/Kanpur there will be one spectator stand that will be put up with the name ‘TVS Eurogrip TYRES Stand’.

My need for speed began at a very early age and I realised this as soon as I got my first bicycle at the age of 8.
