Michelin Receives India's First 5 Star Fuel Efficiency Rating

Michelin, a sustainable mobility company, recently announced that the Michelin Latitude Sport 3 and Michelin Pilot Sport 4 SUV tyres have received 5 Star ratings.

 

According to the company, it is the first tyre brand in India’s passenger vehicle segment to be accredited with the Government of India’s newly introduced star labelling programme.

 

Michelin was also the first brand in India to be awarded a 4 Star rating by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) for its made-in-India commercial vehicle tyre Michelin X Multi Energy Z.

 

“After receiving the first 4-Star label for our commercial vehicle tyre recently, we are thrilled to be recognised once again with India’s first 5-Star rating for two of our most popular passenger car tyre lines in India,” says Manish Pandey, Commercial Director B2C for India Region. This first 5-star rating for our brand will boost customer confidence, allowing them to choose tyres that are fuel-efficient, safe, and contribute to lowering the country’s carbon footprint.

 

The Michelin Latitude Sport 3 is the company’s third generation of Latitude on-road SUV tyres. The tyres are designed to provide the best driving experience in the segment, better fuel consumption, and exceptional grip on all terrains. It improves wet-road grip while minimising roll resistance, resulting in increased fuel efficiency.
