After almost two years, Maruti Suzuki has brought back its high-selling nameplate, the Alto K10, to the Indian car market. With a new exterior design and cabin layout, the new Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 promises to appeal more to the younger masses. At the same time, it claims to be as efficient and peppy to drive as its last iteration. The new Alto K10 is positioned in between the already-on-sale Alto 800 and S-Presso and has become the most affordable 1.0-litre offering from Maruti Suzuki. In addition to the Alto K10, Maruti Suzuki already has S-Presso, WagonR and Celerio with the same 1.0-litre engine option.

With the new Alto K10, Maruti Suzuki has taken one step forward with the mechanical setup. 2022 Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 Rivals And Their Tyre Sizes
The Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 competes with the 1.0-litre version of the Renault Kwid and its sibling, the quirky-looking S-Presso. All these three cars have 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine options, with the Alto K10 and S-Presso sharing their K10C Dualjet powertrains and gearbox options. Even the Kwid comes with a 5-speed manual and AMT transmission options.
Both the S-Presso and Kwid have SUV-like designs with an upright stance and higher ground clearance compared to the new Alto K10. To match their SUV-like appeal, these cars get bigger 165/70 R14 tyres against the 145/80 R13 tyres in the Alto K10.Â
