Tyrexpo India 2018 (21-23 June) held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi observed the presence of about 80 exhibitors associated with tyre/rubber industry and garage equipment. Among many tyre manufacturers and suppliers at the event, Indag Rubber Limited (IRL) was present at the Stall # B8 with its unique range of tyre retreading products. Company executives along with their top management were seen demonstrating the benefits of tyre retreading to the visitors.
Moreover, business development officials were serving to the trade visitors explaining them about the business opportunities in the tyre retread sector. At the stall, there was a vast range of precured tread rubber and retreaded truck tyres at the display for the visitors, while the poster and banners described the benefits of retreading. One of the posters read: ‘Indag doesn’t just retread, it rebuilds.’
Tyre retreads are environment-friendly, as about 27 litres of oil is consumed to retread a truck tyre against the huge 84 litres of oil used in the manufacturing of new truck tyre. A retreaded tyre costs 40 percent of the cost of a new tyre.
Incorporated in the year 1978, Indag Rubber Limited (IRL), or simply Indag, is a joint venture between Khemka Group and M/s Bandag Incorporated USA, one of the largest players in the tyre retreading industry based in the US. The association came to an end in 2006, with a takeover of Bandag’s shareholding by Khemka Group. Currently, Indag has a strong and wide spread network of 24 depots across the country.
Indag produces precured tread rubber, un-vulcanized rubber strip gum, universal spray cement and tyre envelopes for the tyre retreading industry. Indag manufactures and supplies a full range of tread rubber and allied retreading products and material. The four-decade-old retreading firm has been supplying tyre retreading equipments to many private companies and state transport undertakings.

Indag uses modern technology for its machinery and equipment alongside better quality raw material which guarantees lowest cost per kilometre.
Indag markets its products to fleet owners, transporters, who are in search of a cost-effective solution and are looking for ways to reduce tyre and tyre related expenses. In addition to commercial sales, the New Delhi headquartered rubber firm also aims at customers looking to derive maximum out of their existing vehicle tyres.
