Remember that car of your neighbour with all that dirt and filthy looking tyres? Well, when you are inside the car you never get to see its exterior appearance. And, thereby hardly think of this aspect of your car. But, people watching you driving or seeing your car parked can easily think the same as you think of your neighbour’s car. So, in order to avoid this, you must always keep a good track of your tyres’ condition. It will not only give your car a better look but will also be a preventive maintenance for your beloved machine.
So, keep that bucket, tyre cleaner and microfiber towel ready and follow these
steps to get shiny car tyres:
1. Make sure that you use 2 separate buckets while cleaning the tyres, one for the clean water and the other for soap water. It is also advisable to keep an extra microfiber cloth.
2. Nowadays there are many tyre cleaners available in the market. Choose the best-suited cleaner. It comes in varieties such as foams/sprays/creams. Go as per your liking or convenience.
3. Before applying them read the instructions ‘carefully’. Never use acid based cleaners as they will adversely affect the tyres of your precious car.
4. Use the feathered brush to dust off all the dust that has been gathered over the alloy or tyre.
5. Now wash the tyre with the cleanser. Do take a special care of the areas around the crevices of the tyres and near the brake pad.
6. Do one tyre at a time so that the cleanser does not get dry. Rinse the first tyre with a strong force of water jet.
7. After all cleansing has been done now dry towelling your tyres. Microfiber towels are highly recommended over any normal piece of cloth that we Indians usually use for cleaning.
8. Make sure that you dry each and every nook of the tyres as the wetness can hinder the application of the wax.
9. Once wheels are dried, the last and important part is to wax it. The application of wax is same as that of rest of the car.
10. Use an applicator pad that comes with the wax and then buff the wheels. The waxing will help in protecting your wheels from dust, harmful UV radiations that might affect it.
Now that you are done with the cleaning of your car tyres and rim. You can see the difference with that shiny look of your tyres.
