Hankook Tyres’ Revenue Decreases, But Operating Profit Rises In Third Quarter Of 2016

Hankook Tyres

South Korea’s Tyre manufacturer Hankook, has released its financial report for the third quarter of 2016. The company has gained on the operating income by around 23% due to the positive performance of its sales of ultra-high performance tyres and original equipment tyres. This became possible due to positive sales in Europe and China. The ultra-high performance tyres alone accounted for about 34.2% of company’s total sales.

However, Hankook’s total revenue fell by a small margin of about 3.9% from the corresponding period of last year. The company has been expanding its OET supply portfolio worldwide with the latest news of becoming the Original Equipment supplier for Scania in Europe as another achievement in this field. Hankook already is OET supplier for Daimler AG and MAN.

Hankook Tire Group is South Korea based tyre manufacturing company and has a distribution network in about 180 countries globally. It is also world’s 7th largest tyre maker.
