Hankook Chooses New Executives For 2017

As an effort on their part in order to increase competitiveness in the global top-tier tyre market, Hankook Tyre Co. Ltd and its holding company Hankook Tyre Worldwide are placing 19 employees in new executive roles w.e.f. January 1st, 2017. The new appointments include two new senior vice-presidents and two vice-presidents group also announced the promotion of one person to senior vice-president and 14 people to vice-president positions.

For the company, these executive appointments are focused on enhancing their strategies for the emerging markets so as to strengthen their global competitiveness. Through these appointments, the company is also intended to increase its brand value through a proactive culture which company defines as a “corporate culture of challenge and innovation, reinforce human resource management and internal infrastructure organising the digital realm”. It has also said that the appointments are aimed at accelerating the growth of its global top-tier brand by strengthening its global distribution network and expanding into emerging markets including Asia and Africa.

 

The new Senior Vice-Presidents are at the holding company namely:

Kim Yong Hak – He will lead the global process innovation planning.
Yoon Soon Gi – He will lead the business infra division.

 

At Hankook Tyre Co.

Byun Young Seol – As Senior Vice-President will look into the company’s Asia, Pacific, Africa, Middle East corporate marketing and sales division.

 

There are two new roles also announced by Hankook namely:

Lee Soo II – He was the Chief Operating Officer for Hankook Chinese operations, now will be the Chief Operation Officer of the marketing division and corporate management division. He was given a promotion for his dramatic role in increasing sales growth and enhancing the premium brand.

Woo Byung il – He was acting as in the capacity of Division Director of Hankook Tyre Global O.E division, he is now Chief Operation Officer of Hankook Tyre China HQ. As said by the company, he got the promotion due to the good results he brought in OE supply expansion including all new BMW 7 series and Porsche.

Hankook has asserted that it has strengthened its core role in becoming a global top-tyre company that leads the automotive industry through its new research and development center, The Hankook Technodome.
