The US Tyre Manufacturing giant has announced to expand its Chinese (Pulandian district) facility. The company has announced to spend around $485 million for the facility’s further development at a ceremony. After its completion in 2020, the plant will allow Goodyear to produce about 5 million tyres a year. At present, the plant’s capacity is around 1.5 million tyres a year (It includes Car & Truck Tyres).
The company’s CEO, Chairman, and President Richard J. Kramer was present at the ceremony. He said that Goodyear is seeing Asia-Pacific as a long-term market for its products. Goodyear’s this investment will certainly make its position stronger in the Chinese market. Note that Goodyear was the first major Tyre maker to enter China way back in 1994.

As of today I’m 26 years old and a proud owner of a Yamaha Fz15 version 2.0 and a Kawasaki Ninja 650 2014 model having clocked a decent 30k Kms only while touring, waiting to clock 1000s more as riding makes me feel whole again after enduring the dismal routines of life.
