One of India’s leading tyre manufacturers, CEAT, has recently announced a significant achievement. CEAT’s Nagpur plant has rolled out its 100-millionth tyre, a milestone that clearly highlights the company’s trajectory in meeting the growing demand for two-wheeler tyres in India and the global market.    Â

Speaking on the occasion, Jayasankar Kuruppal, Senior Vice President of Manufacturing at CEAT, shared his thoughts. He emphasised that CEAT remains committed to innovation and sustainability. With the production of the 100-millionth tyre at the Nagpur facility, the company is well-positioned to meet the ever-increasing demand for tyres domestically and internationally. Kuruppal also noted that the Nagpur plant boasts a diverse workforce, with approximately 25% women employees on the shop floor, self-managed teams, and active inclusion of persons with disabilities (PWDs), setting new standards in production and workforce empowerment.
Vishal Pawar, Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Supply Chain at CEAT, was also present at the event. He highlighted the importance of the Nagpur plant as a key export hub for the company. Pawar mentioned that the facility employs cutting-edge technologies, such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and various smart factory capabilities, which are integrated into its operations. He further shared that CEAT has established partnerships with many of India’s leading two-wheeler manufacturers.
In addition to serving the Indian market, the Nagpur plant exports its products to several countries in Southeast Asia, Africa, the Indian subcontinent, and the Americas.
