The recently concluded Tyrexpo India 2018 at the Pragati Maidan, New Delhi has been successful in attracting a huge number of trade visitors at the one-of-a-kind tyre show in the Asia Pacific region. The show witnessed the participation of over 80 national and international brands right from tyre equipment and tools for manufacturing tyre to tyre distribution, tyre re-treading and fleet operations. Among all, Automotive Tyre Manufacturers’ Association (ATMA) was one such exhibitor that not only fascinated large crowd of visitors to its booth, but also earned a lot of admiration with its tyre safety initiative. At the 2018 Tyrexpo India, ATMA was also named under the supporting association list. ATMA was present with its technical wing Indian Tyre Technical Advisory Committee (ITTAC) at the tyre trade show.
Located at Stall # C33, ATMA booth was the centre of attraction on all three days (21 – 23 June) of India’s one-stop show for tyre, tyre accessories, automotive repair and maintenance. The ATMA Tyre Safety Pavilion appeared full of information with banners reading tips for safe car driving and tyre care safety. Moreover, other placard and standees displayed interesting information related to the tyres.

Anyone who visited the ATMA stall was greeted warmly and was enlightened about the major reasons for the road accidents in India, and how they can be avoided with our slight caution and carefulness with respect to tyres. The visitors were also made aware of the Myths and Facts about the tyre safety. In the end, as a part of its safe driving endeavour, every visitor was given a pocket booklet that carried all the information related to tyre safety demonstrated at the stall.
The association of tyre manufacturers aids in promoting and preserving the interests of the tyre industry in the country and acts as a bridge amid the Government and the industry. The New Delhi headquartered tyre industry body acts as a representative to as many as eleven leading tyre companies in India, which accounts to more than 90 percent of tyre production. The member list includes the likes of MRF Ltd., Michelin India Pvt. Ltd., JK Tyre & Industries Ltd., Goodyear India Ltd., Continental India Ltd., Bridgestone India Pvt. Ltd., Apollo Tyres Ltd., Birla Tyres, TVS Srichakra Ltd., Yokohama India and CEAT Ltd.
