Pirelli & C. S.p.A. aka Pirelli Tyres today launched their most awaited tyre duo christened as Pirelli Cinturato P6 and Pirelli AllTerrain Plus in India at the ongoing 2018 Tyrexpo. The Cinturato P6 is a passenger car tyre, while the AllTerrain Plus is targeted towards the off-road SUV tyre segment. The exclusive car tyres from the Milan, Italy-headquartered tyre manufacturer are furnished with double sidewall construction and also comply with the European tyre labelling standards. Both the high-performance premium tyres support Pirelli’s ‘Green Performance’ philosophy, which leads to a better ecological system. The all-season high-performance tyres were launched by Mr. Sanjay Mathur, General Manager, Pirelli India and Mr. Kamlesh Mehta, Managing Director, Celite Tyre Pvt. Ltd.
Aimed at the off-road segment, the AllTerrain Plus SUV tyres possess distinctive qualities in terms of road performance. Usually, off-road tyres are dedicated to 60 percent of off-road usage and 40 percent on road application. However, the intelligently developed off-road SUV tyre, Pirelli AllTerrain Plus is designed for a big 75 percent off-road use and remaining for the on-road purpose.
Globally known for their unsurpassed performance, the city car tyre Pirelli Cinturato P6 provides ideal balance in terms of performance, fuel efficiency, comfort and high levels of safety for the passenger cars, which includes midsize sedans and compact cars. On the hand, the Pirelli AllTerrain Plus is intended for high off-road performance on any surface including rocks, sand, mud and grass.
The specially designed tread pattern of the tyre allows efficient water dispersal, digs mud, and casts out stones under the footprint. The tyre offers enhanced traction on slippery surfaces and is capable of handling any tough off-road condition, courtesy; reinforced double sidewall and the unique pattern of its blocks.
