The globally acclaimed French tyre tycoon Michelin has introduced a new lineup of SUV tyres in India. Christened as ‘Force’, the new Michelin LTX Force tyres are designed keeping in mind Indian terrains and road conditions. The latest entrant to Michelin’s product portfolio will further strengthen France-based tyre maker’s dominance in the rapidly growing SUV segment in the country.
As per previous year’s stats, one out of every four vehicles sold was an SUV, which establishes the fact that more Indians love to opt for SUVs. The ascending figures highlight the detail that in coming times the segment will continue to bolster in major cities as well as in tier 2 and tier 3 cities in India.
Though Michelin, under its SUV tyre range has got the likes of Michelin Latitude Tour HP, Michelin Latitude Cross, Michelin Latitude Sport 3 and Michelin Primacy SUV. However, the newest kid on the block ‘Michelin LTX Force’ comes as an all-rounder and is specially developed for SUV owners who frequently use their SUV on both paved and unpaved road.
The Clermont-Ferrand, France-headquartered tyre manufacturer has got a presence in more than 170 countries worldwide. It has 68 production facilities in as many as 17 countries that collectively manufactured 187 million tyres in the year 2016.
