Nexen Tires – “Next Century Tire”
Established in 1942, the Nexen Tire Company has relentlessly served the industry for the past 7 decades. Recognised in 1956, as the first Korean tire company it set up its establishment at Yangsan and Seoul (South Korea). Living up to the name meaning i.e., Next and Century, the company went on to become one of the biggest and leading domestic tire brands in South Korea.
The company has accomplished many achievements to name one such as the development of Korea’s first 60 series V-shaped rotation tires. After the company changed its name in 2000 from Woosung Tire to Nexen Tire in order to enhance the image of the company, Nexen Tire has been achieving remarkable accomplishments with record sales and growth that helps it to rank among the top brands in the global tire industry.
They currently have three manufacturing plants in Korea and China. Moreover, they also have established a global R&D network at USA, China and Germany developing products having topmost quality and outstanding performance which has led them to sell their tires in more than 130 countries throughout the world. The company has the ability to impress the customers with the services and the quality of the tires on owing which anyone can pride about.
In 2005, Nexen Tire was awarded a patent for the technology to manufacture rubber/stratified silicate nano-composite tires. And then in 2006, they completed development of the new UHP and Winter SUV pattern. The company at present offers a wide array of products from Passenger tires, SUV, Light Truck, OE Tire, Solid Tire and many others. The recent update is that Nexen Tire has been declared winner at the 2016 “Red Dot Design Award”. It also ranks first in GCSI 2016 with many other achievements in its pocket.
