The journey of Apollo Tyres Ltd started in 1972 as a single brand enterprise. The company’s first plant became operational at Perambra, Thrissur, Kerala. With a corporate office in Gurugram (Gurgaon) they have 3 manufacturing units inside the country one each in Tamil Nadu, Gujarat & Kerala. The company also has three manufacturing units overseas one each in Netherlands, South Africa & Zimbabwe. As part of their future expansion in 2015, the company announced that they are about to set up their first manufacturing unit in Hungary, the facility is scheduled to start producing tyres by 2017.
