With all rigor and fervour, The Griffin Riders are all set to cross the 7 high altitude motorable passes, which also embraces the world’s highest motorable pass, Khardung La. Located in the Ladakh region of the Jammu & Kashmir state, it is elevated at 5,359 meters above the sea level. The high-spirited bikers will pass through the famous Pangong Lake alongside other high altitude lakes during their journey. The rider group is named after a legendary mythical creature, Griffin, which has the head and wings of an eagle, while the body, tail, and back legs are of a lion.
With the spirit of an astute aerial bird and the courage of a terrestrial beast, The Griffin Riders were flagged off from Vidhan Sabha, Bengaluru. After the flag-off from Bengaluru, in the first phase, which consists of about 3404 kilometres, The Griffin Riders will first head towards Hyderabad covering a distance of 570 kilometres. The riders belong to well-known biking groups such as Team Bengaluru Biker Buddhas, Dominar Owners Club, Biker Inside Riding Club, Bikers United India Club, Born to Ride, Ready To Race KTM, Riders of Bangalore (ROB), The Avenger Gods, Pulsar Maniacs, Demon Riders, Naked Wolves Pulsar 200NS, Roaring Pistons, Battalion Bikers and COPS Bangalore.
