Maxxis Conducts Blood Donation Camp At Its Sanand Manufacturing Plant
Ahmedabad, Dec 3, 2018: Maxxis India, the subsidiary of the Maxxis Group has conducted its second blood donation camp at its manufacturing facility in Sanand, Gujarat. Maxxis Group is the fastest growing tyre company in the world and this effort by one of its subsidiary is indeed praiseworthy. Maxxis India conducted this blood donation camp in association with the Indian Red Cross Society and HDFC Bank. The main aim of this camp was to increase the awareness of blood donation among people at large and organise the Maxxis India family to come together for a noble cause. The blood donation camps saw the active participation of around 115 employees of the company who came forward and donated 108 units of blood during this campaign.
This camp has gone a long way in raising the awareness of safe blood donation and organise people in the noble cause of ‘Gifting Life’ through donating blood. On this occasion, the head of the human resource, Maxxis India, Mr Alen Liao commented, that as a responsible business entity, they believe in developing resourceful channels for the society at large. He further added that, at Maxxis, they take great pride in contributing to the society and one example of this is the blood donation camp organised in the company’s own premises. He also said that this is the second time that the company is organising a blood donation camp and was overwhelmed to see the enthusiasm of their employees in participating in this highly commendable social work.
Indian Red Cross Society, which is a voluntary humanitarian organisation known for bringing relief in times of an accident, natural disaster or emergencies was the main collaborator, along with HDFC Bank for this noble cause. They were also the main partners in the blood donation camp that were organised last year at the same venue. At that event, a total of 78 units of blood were collected from the employees of Maxxis India.
The Sanand manufacturing facility of Maxxis India in Gujarat is spread over 106 acres of land and there are currently 600 workers employed at this manufacturing unit.
