The one-stop exhibition for tyre, automotive repair/maintenance and tyre accessories, Tyrexpo India 2018 held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, came to end on the 23rd June. During the three-day tyre event (21-23 June), one of the leading and well-known automotive technology provider iCAT (International Centre for Automotive Technology) marked its presence at the Stall # C65 of Hall 12A. Huge numbers of visitors were seen at the iCAT Stall understanding about the varied types of testing conducted and certifications provided by the tech firm. iCAT assesses and validates nearly every automotive and non-automotive components at their state-of-the-art facilities in the country.
The iCAT booth was loaded with information banners and posters all around alongside its reps were seen distributing catalogue, booklets and flyers to the visitors. Located at Manesar (Haryana) iCAT under NATRIP (National Automotive Testing and R&D Infrastructure Project), Government of India, undertakes an array of services which include certification / homologation, design and engineering, research & development, powertrain development, training calibration, testing and validation, components, engines, emissions, environment, electrical & electronics, fatigue, infotronics, NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness), photometry, passive safety, tyre, transmission, test track and consultancy.

Besides many test labs, iCAT also has a fully equipped Tyre Test Lab (TTL) that is looked after by a highly experienced and skilled team of technicians that ensures quality and swift service to its customers. The TTL provides its services to tyre industry, vehicle manufacturers / OEMs, Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), foreign tyre manufacturers under Type Approval & COS AIS: 037 norms. iCAT has developed its lab into centre of excellence (CoE) by engaging itself in new capabilities such as Dual Station Endurance Test Rig and Tyre Rolling Resistance Test Rig under Indian Standards (IS 15627, IS 15636, AIS O37, AIS 110 etc.), European Standards (ECE R 30, ECE R117 rev2 etc.), Gulf Standards (GSO/02/FDS/646: 2009, GSO 53/2007) and US Regulations (FMVSS No.139).
