Honda Activa Scooter
Started with a solo scooter, the Activa range today has got the unisex scooter in the form of Activa 6g, which is in its sixth generation, a more powerful and stylish Activa 125 and a scooter developed keeping in mind female customers, the Activa-i. The Honda Activa portfolio competes with the likes of Hero Maestro Edge, Hero Pleasure, Yamaha Fascino, TVS Jupiter and Mahindra Gusto 100 / Gusto 125.
The Honda Activa 6G was introduced in January 2020 and is BS6 compatible. In the new 6G, side panels have got one single air intake, instead of two. The headlamp remains the same but has got an LED light, only on Deluxe variant. In 5G, the LED headlamp was given in all variants. The new Honda Activa 6G has got more changes apart from just the looks. The Activa 110 has a similar platform like Activa 125, which means, it is 72mm more than the current version. Likewise, the wheelbase has been elevated by 22mm and the ground clearance is 18mm more. This is done without elevating the seat height. To provide a more knee room to the rider, the floor has been increased by 23mm. The makers have included a larger 12-inch front wheel than 10-inch in its previous version. This has improved the ride quality and stability when you’re at a high speed.Â
The Honda Activa 6G has got 109.51cc single-cylinder engine. To lighten the scooter and improve the fuel efficiency by 10%, as claimed by the company, they’ve introduced fuel-injection, and have added Enhanced Smart Power technology. The scooter, as a result, weighs 107 kgs. The new scooter can produce 7.68 bhp at 8000 rpm and 8.79 Nm of peak torque at 5259 rpm. This means it can speed up to 69 km/h easily and can touch 80 km/h without any hassle.Â
Honda Activa Price
The tried and trusted city scooter, Activa, is priced reasonably and with the addition of the variants, one can choose as per convenience and budget. Starting with the lowest, Honda Activa i is priced at Rs 52, 276 ex-showroom in Delhi. Honda Activa 125 (BS4) basic model costs Rs 67,490 ex-showroom in Delhi. Honda Activa 5G is priced at Rs 55, 934 ex-showroom in Delhi. The latest is Honda Activa 6G, whose basic model is priced at Rs 63,912 ex-showroom in Delhi.
Conclusion:Â
Honda may have stopped the production of Activa’s few variants, but they’re still ruling the Indian roads. As the 2-wheeler slides through the heavy city traffic, it’s the tyre that keeps the scooter grounded. The tyre surely gives enough confidence to the rider to zoom through the traffic. It is of utmost importance that one must ensure that the tyres are of good quality. The aforementioned tyres for Honda Activa are reliable, economical and should be preferred when you’re looking for the one.

I use a Honda active 2007 model. Could I fit it with tubeless tyres. The service guy said the rim of 2007 model Honda activa cannot have tubeless tyre, but what is your take on this.
Dear Sharath,
It is not safe to install tubeless tyres on a tube type rim. We don’t recommend it. If you want to equip your Activa with tubeless tyres, we advise you to get the tubeless type rims fitted. The tubeless rim will start with MT (e.g. MT 3.75 X 17’’). If the rim is tube type, it will only have the numbers (e.g. 3.75 x 17’’).

best tyre in india mrf moto-D 90/100-10 for activa
Hi,
This is Viplove from Kharagpur, West Bengal. I have Honda Activa (Aug. 2011 model) originally fitted with 90/100-10 53J Tube-type tyre. Recently I went to a dealer nearby to purchase a new tyre for rear. The Michelin city pro was available in the size 90/100-10 53J but it was tubeless. So The shopkeeper fitted my Activa with Michelin city tube-type tyre of size 3.5-10 51J. So will this be okey because later on searching through net that the 3.5-10 51J size tyre is not for Activa (Also its width and height are a bit less i.e. 88.9 mm, though it fits 10 inch rim). Later on reaching to shopkeeper, he told that this is the exact size and it will not have any issue in future. Please suggest the needful in this regard.
Michelin pro is good tyre..

I have a Honda Activa 2010 model,
now i want to change Tube-Tyre in to Tubeless Tyre
is it possible??
and any recommendation.
Dear Vishal,
You can get the tyres changed from tube type to tubeless. It will only require additional replacement of tyre walls, suitable for tubeless tyres in the existing rims.

which company tubeless tyre best for honda active model 2009?
I have activa i 2016 model which have tubeless tyres and i want to change my rear tyre so can i change it with tube type tyre or it is mandatory to have tubeless tyre on tubeless tyre rim
Dear Shubham,
You can get your Activa’s tubeless tyres changed to tube type ones. Though tubeless tyres are better as compared to tube type tyres, but yes, if you have to get the tube type tyres installed, you can easily get them installed simply by getting the new walls (that are compatible with tube type tyres) added to the rims.

Current tyre is tubeless, and local mechanic said to go for CEAT tube-type tyre becuase my daily runnnig is only 6-8 kms.
Q1) Can tube-type tyre be easily fitted on the tubeless tyre rim.
Q2) Which type tyre should I go for, as I have only 6-8KM runnning daily.
Q3) Which brand and model is best suited for the good grip.
Dear Himanshu

I have a 2015 Honda Activa 3g, and i have completed 15,000 km. I’m not entirely sure if i currently have tubeless or tube tyres, but either case, I’m looking to buy the Michelin City pro tyres. Will they work fine for my activa, as they are tubeless, or should i go for CEAT Grip tubed tyres instead? I would prefer getting tubeless tyres though. Thank you!
Dear Anmol
You can check your tyre type, if TL is written on the sidewall of the tyre then it is tubeless tyre otherwise, it is a tube-type tyre. IF your vehicle is currently fitted with tubeless tyres then you can go with Michelin City Pro tubeless tyre and if your tyre is fitted with tube-type tyres then you need to change the rim for getting tubeless tyres installed in your vehicle.

I have the Honda Activa 4g 2017 model. It came with Ceat tyres. The rear tyre got wear off within 20k km as I use breaking a lot. I replaced it with MRF Zappy. Now mechanic told to change the front tyre even though it does not wear off coz it has run 24k km. He suggested JK tyre is that fine? after how many Km tyre should be changed?
Dear Prasanth,
The wear of a tyre doesn’t always mean the tyre’s pattern has to be worn out, due to the climatic conditions, your tyres could just become hard to an extent where the tyres aren’t going to perform like they should, under ideal conditions, 30K kms is when you can change the tires but in your case, if you feel that the tire doesn’t feel they used to before in terms of ride quality, it’s better to get them changed. Since you have Ceat tyres on the rear its best yo use the same pattern for the front as well.
Thanks
