One of India’s leading tyre makers, CEAT Tyres recently announced the launch of label-rated tyres in the country. The decision has been taken in accordance with the currently followed international rating systems prevalent in the tyre industry across the globe. This is an extremely important step towards customer satisfaction as it will help them in making informed decisions before purchasing tyres for their vehicles. The company said that the aim is to create and offer customer-friendly products to our customers.
According to CEAT, they are going to introduce performance indicator ratings for Fuelsmarrt and SecuraDrive tyres-their premium tyre range. Tyre noise level, rolling resistance and wet grip indicators are used in giving these ratings. A higher wet grip rating will specify a better braking capability. While a higher rolling resistance rating will show better fuel mileage.
Expressing his views on the development, CMO, CEAT Tyres, Mr Amit Tolani said, at CEAT their aim is always to help the customer in making the best decision while buying tyres, he also expressed his happiness that this is something that separates them from the peers. He further added, the whole idea is to empower the customers and help them in buying the best tyres.Â
CEAT has already implemented such a rating system in the Middle East and European markets. As per the company, currently, the SecuraDrive range of tyres is available for premium compact SUVs and sedans in the 15 inches size, while the FuelSmarrt range of tyres is available for premium hatchbacks in 12-14 inches size.
