The global tyre maker, Hankook Tire has tied up a multi-year sponsorship deal with the Major League Baseball (MLB) of USA. As scheduled, the League went underway on Thursday this week. Hankook is set to be the official tire of MLB in both South Korea and the USA. But the financial deal has not been released as of yet. This sponsorship will be applicable to the various Major League Baseball platforms including MLB’s Social Media channels, MLB Network on TV and MLB.com.
Also, an added feature of this sponsorship is that the Hankook Tire will be involved in their own ad creative that would extend the relationship into the retail space. As per this deal, Hankook Tire can use the MLB’s digital assets to leverage their partnership. The Hankook’s logo will be visible prominently during each game as well as in postseason games.
Hankook has become the 7th partnership for this year of the Major League Baseball others being Supercuts, Barbasol, Mitel, Snapple, Netspend and Kingsford.
Founded way back in 1941 as Chosun Tire Company, Hankook Tire is the seventh largest tyre manufacturer in the world. Though Hankook Tire Co. Ltd. is based in Seoul, South Korea, its subsidiary Hankook Tire America Corp is located in Tennessee, USA.
