Michelin Becomes The New Exclusive Retread Supplier To DTM

Michelin, is one of the leading tyre manufacturing companies that is dedicated to sustainably improving the mobility of goods and people by manufacturing, distributing and marketing tyres. It has now achieved a new feather to its cap. Michelin has been awarded a contract exclusively as the retread supplier to Direct Tyre Management (DTM). This is a 4-year deal which will see Michelin supplying about 20,000 Encore-brand truck tyres a year from its factory in Stoke-on-Trent.

DTM is one of the leading independent tyre management solution provider, that manages the commercial fleet across the UK to reduce costs and travelling time for customers and also at the same time enhances safety and compliance. DMT is a part of the NRG, which is a rapidly growing one-stop shop fleet management group that provides vehicles, service, maintenance and repair across its network of 36 service centres across the country. Sid Sadique, Group Chairman at NRG/DTM, said that this agreement is right for the customers. Their whole business is based on saving the customers money and at the same time removing the headaches of tyre management and ensuring health and safety practices. This deal will help them to do the same.

Guy Heywood, Commercial Director for Truck and Bus at Michelin said that this contract has been a pleasant win for them. Encore tyres will help DTM’s customers to benefit from UK-made, high-value, high-quality tyres built on high- quality casings that give an excellent all- round performance. They are all set to embark on a new journey with their newest partner.

My need for speed began at a very early age and I realised this as soon as I got my first bicycle at the age of 8. When all the other kids would break downhill I would pedal harder just to go faster and enjoy the thrill. I was just 14 years old at the time and got to ride as a pillion with an older acquaintance. This one short ride influenced my every decision in terms of the bikes I want to own. As of today I’m 26 years old and a proud owner of a Yamaha Fz15 version 2.0 and a Kawasaki Ninja 650 2014 model having clocked a decent 30k Kms only while touring, waiting to clock 1000s more as riding makes me feel whole again after enduring the dismal routines of life.
