According to reports, Goodyear Tyre & Rubber Co. has decided to officially end production at its only manufacturing facility in the United Kingdom. The closure will take place a week before this coming Christmas. As per Goodyear’s official statement, the Wolverhampton (England) will stop production on 20/12/2016. This will be followed by a 6-month close-down period.
The company has already announced the closure of Wolverhampton plant in June 2015 last year, as part of its unit restructuring plans in Europe, Middle East and Africa. This step will affect the livelihood of 330 employees. Moreover, it is learned that Goodyear had offered these employees to work for its Mexico facility; something the employees turned down unanimously.

I was just 14 years old at the time and got to ride as a pillion with an older acquaintance. This one short ride influenced my every decision in terms of the bikes I want to own. As of today I’m 26 years old and a proud owner of a Yamaha Fz15 version 2.0 and a Kawasaki Ninja 650 2014 model having clocked a decent 30k Kms only while touring, waiting to clock 1000s more as riding makes me feel whole again after enduring the dismal routines of life.
