The Dakar Rally 2017 is witnessing some really gripping ups and downs in the race competition. Here in Stage 2 of the rally Sherco TVS Factory Rally team’s Juan Pedrero Garcia finished at the 9th position. He was merely 8’09” behind the stage winner.
The stage winner Xavier de Soultrait from France has also won this year’s FIM Baja World Cup title. Nevertheless, Juan is still very well placed in the top 10.
Sherco TVS’s other two riders Aravind KP and Adrien Metge found 125th and 124th spots respectively. The 3rd stage race, which is to be held between San Miguel de Tucuman and San Salvador de Jujuy has begun. It is going to be a 780-kilometer race including a 364-kilometer special race.
Earlier, at the day one of the ceremonial start ceremony, Aravind KP (Race Number: 77), made his stunning debut at the podium where all the other Dakar Rally riders and drivers were introduced.
Sharing the experience of standing on the podium Aravind termed it as exciting and further stated that to stand with your bike at the Dakar flag-off ceremony is a dreamlike moment.
