Apollo Tyres To Boost Its Presence In Malaysia

Leading Indian tyre manufacturer Apollo Tyres is on a serious verge of global expansion, and lately set up of its office in Malaysia corroborates the same. After spreading its wings across neighbouring countries Thailand and Indonesia, the company will now be focusing on the third largest automotive market in the ASEAN region. The Malaysian office was inaugurated by Mr. Satish Sharma, President, Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa (APMEA) region, Apollo Tyres, in the presence of exclusive Business Partners and other company representatives.

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Sharma stated that Malaysian tyre market will play an important role in their growth in the region and in the last 2-3 years Apollo Tyres has achieved significant outcome due to their steady approach in the sector. The requirements of the Malaysian consumers is very well catered by the company’s wide range of products, while the assistance of distribution and retail partners has helped Apollo Tyres to penetrate in the vital replacement tyre market segments, he asserted.

The Gurugram-based tyre maker eyes to seize a larger chunk of the country’s replacement tyre market. The tyre industry in Malaysia has replacement capacity of 580,000 Truck and Bus Radials (TBRs) and 9.5 million passenger car tyres per year. And to serve this huge Malaysian customer base Apollo is coming up with a dedicated team of sales and service professionals.

Now, as the company has a foothold in Malaysia, they believe that this is the right time to accelerate their focus in this market and go ahead with the formation of the Apollo Tyres’ Malaysian subsidiary, Mr. Sharma said in a statement.
