To offer its customers the most innovative and technologically advanced products, Hero MotoCorp, the world’s leading two-wheeler manufacturer has launched the New Splendor iSmart motorcycle. The key highlight of this motorcycle is its compliance with the BS-VI norms. With the launch, the New Splendor iSmart becomes India’s first BS-VI motorcycle.
In just a few months of receiving BS-VI certificate from iCAT, Hero MotoCorp has introduced the Splendor iSmart motorbike in the Indian auto market.
Other than being the country’s first-ever BS-VI compliant motorcycle, the new Splendor iSmart gets a 110 cc FI engine which is able to deliver higher fuel efficiency and churn higher torque. The build and design of the motorcycle are such that it offers a pleasant ride and can confront multiple difficult terrains with ease.
The all-new Splendor iSmart will offer the best-in-segment value proposition to its buyers. The bike is all contemporary and youthful to match up with the needs of the present-day riders. This BS-VI compliant Splendor iSmart collates Hero’s core attributes of tech-excellence, innovation, trustworthiness and style.
During the launch, Malo Le Masson, Head – Global Product Planning, Hero MotoCorp expressed that the new Splendor iSmart showcases the level of progress Hero have made in its in-house R&D in a short span of time. He highlighted that the bike is first in the country to come with BS-VI compliance. He also mentioned that apart from an all-new engine, this bike stands on a new chassis design, fully designed and developed at Hero MotoCorp’s Centre for Innovation and Technology (CIT), Jaipur. He further commented that with the BS-VI compliance, improved performance, attractive styling and pleasant riding, the bike offers a highly appealing proposition to the customers.
At the launch, Sanjay Bhan, Head – Sales, After Sales and Parts, Hero MotoCorp was also present. He gave an insight into how the launch plan of this bike has been strategically developed. He also affirmed that the bike will be made available across India in a phased manner with the increasing production capacity.
Looks & Design of New Hero Splendor iSmart
The new Splendor iSmart adopts the Style 2.0 design concept which gives it a modern look and dual-tone styling. The all-new diamond frame of the bike has increased front suspension travel and the longer wheelbase of the New Splendor iSmart offers improved stability. To run with ease on any given surface, the bike is offered with high ground clearance.
Price of Hero New Splendor iSmart
The BS-VI Splendor iSmart is offered at an attractive price of Rs. 64,900 (Ex-showroom, Delhi). Its retail sales are expected to begin at Hero MotoCorp’s dealerships across Delhi and National Capital Region (NCR) in the next few days. The bike maker will make it available all across the nation at its dealerships in the weeks to come.
Colours & Variants of Hero New Splendor iSmart
The new models of Hero Splendor iSmart will be made available in three exciting colour tones — Techno Blue & Black, Force Silver & Heavy Grey and Sports Red & Black. The motorbike will be offered in two variants, namely Self Drum Cast and Self Disc Cast, both badged with BS-VI.
Engine & Specifications of Hero MotoCorp New Splendor iSmart
The new Splendor iSmart focuses on clean mobility and hence, this commuter motorcycle is offered with an all-new 110 cc, BS-VI compliant, Fuel Injection engine which renders optimum calibration. This engine is capable of producing an impressive maximum power of 9 bhp at 7500 rpm and maximum torque of 9.89 Nm at 5500 rpm. The engine features an all-new i3S technology which ensures a superior ride along with returning an impressive fuel efficiency.
Ride & Performance of New Hero Splendor iSmart
The new Splendor iSmart motorcycle focuses on offering comforts during regular commuting and enhanced stability while riding through rough terrains. The bike offers superior ride and control and challenges the new limits of performance. Its all-new diamond chassis provides superior rigidity, strength and responsive handling on any form of terrain. While riding Splendor iSmart, higher levels of stability are achieved through its +15 mm front suspension, 180 mm ground clearance and +36 mm wheelbase.
