Tyrexpo India 2019 7th Edition: Highlights

Tyrexpo India 2019 Event Brief

Tyrexpo India 2019, the 7th and very successful edition of the series with a footfall of 7000+. The event was held from 26th Sept to 28th Sept 2019 at Chennai Trade Centre, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The event was organised by SignEx Exhibitions India with a lot to offer for all those who walked into the world of tyres with seminars, panel discussions, workshops etc.

But before we get onto the details of the spectacular event, let’s take a step back and look at what led to the birth of Tyrexpo India.

Birth of Tyrexpo India

India’s commercial-scale rubber plantation rooted itself as early as 1902 in Kerala. And the first rubber manufacturing industry commenced operations in the early 1920s. Over a century, the Indian Rubber Industry has grown to become the world’s largest Rubber producer while 86% of the produce comes from districts of Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

India is also the world’s 3rd largest consumer of rubber with 50% of the consumption comes from the automotive Tyre Sector and another 15% of Rubber consumption comes from the Bicycles tyres and tubes sector; which leads to the supposition that approximately 50-60 % of the Indian Rubber Industry’s Total Revenue of Rs. 3000 Crores is thanks to the Tyre industry.

Hence, dedicating a 3-day event entirely for the development of the tyre sector was a no-brainer and India’s first-ever Tyrexpo was born 7 years ago in Chennai.
