It was just the summer of 2015, when the Triangle Group, the Chinese tyre makers, appointed Pierre Cohade as the company’s Chief Executive Officer. Pierre Cohade, who has also worked with Goodyear (U.S multinational Tyre Manufacturer) where he served as the president of Goodyear Tyre & Rubber’s Asia-Pacific business between October 2004 and December 2011, had recently joined China’s second largest tyre maker in April last year and was assigned the task to extend Triangle Tyre’s globalisation plan.
He accomplished the task when in September, 2016, his company’s IPO was launched and made its debut on the Shanghai Stock Exchange. Now, after treading the Triangle Tyre on the path to becoming a publicly traded entity, Cohade has moved on to seek new challenges and after his exit Triangle Tyre now is looking for a new candidate to fill in the vacuum and to carry on his work as the Chief Executive Officer.
Apart from the Pierre Cohade, another recent departure from Triangle Tyre is of Jenner Powell, who had been working since 2013 with the Chinese manufacturer as the Global Vice-President after switching from Goodyear. As of July earlier this year, he is back to his former employer and currently holds the position of AP Product Director, consumer tyres for Goodyear Tyre Management Company (Shanghai).
