Michelin’s Latest Pilot Sport 4 Is Here!

The French giant, Michelin tyres recently launched a brand new Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyre which is termed as the ideal tyre for the drivers of powerful saloons and sports cars that perfectly put the balance between pleasure and performance.

This new ultra-responsive tread on the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 comes from Michelin’s involvement in Formula E – the world’s first electric single seater series. Thanks to the mastery of the dynamic interactions between the architecture, tread pattern and materials, the tread constantly adapts the road thus resulting in optimal management of the contact patch.

This new Dynamic Responsive Technology consists of a belt with hybrid aramid and nylon reinforcement that ensure better directional control. To ensure that the contact patch of the tyre remains consistent, it was specially designed to be of high-density, tension-resistant and lightweight fibre that controls centrifugal force at high speeds.

Also, a very new homogeneous compound mix that features functional elastomers to improve the distribution of fine silica in the tyre, thus enhancing wet-braking and also maximised water evacuation with deep and wide longitudinal grooves. This new mixture improves the tyre’s longevity and makes vehicle fuel-efficient.

My need for speed began at a very early age and I realised this as soon as I got my first bicycle at the age of 8.
