 Leh Ladakh Expedition 2018

After bravely tackling the indifferent terrains and extremities of weather, on Day 14 of the Ladakh Expedition 2018, The Griffin Riders reached the World’s Highest Motorable Pass, Khardung La. The pass is also known as one of the most difficult places to ride on earth because of its difficult terrain and an elevation of over 5,300 mts.

The enthusiastic group of six riders is on a 20 day Ladakh Expedition. The expedition is divided into three phases and by reaching Khardung La, the first phase was over. From here, the riders rode to one of India’s highest lake, Pangong Tso, situated at an altitude of over 4,000 mts. In phase 2, the riders will cover a distance of over 1,400 km till they reach New Delhi. On 1st August, the riders Azizul Haq and Shashanka Sasuke reached Manali via Bharat Nagar – Keylong route, and after taking some rest, they left for Mandi.

Earlier in the last month, the group started their adventurous and thrilling journey from Bengaluru on 18th July, 2018. The expedition is supported by India’s one of its kind online tyre selling portal, Tyremarket.com. The portal has previously supported some well-known motorsports events such as Maruti Suzuki Desert Storm Rally. However, this is the first instance of Tyremarket.com extending its support to young bikers. All the members of The Griffin Riders are part of riding clubs recognized by ABC Bangalore.
