The company has pledged to distribute gloves, masks, sanitizers and 100 ventilators to various hospitals and health departments in the country. In addition to this, Hero Group has also announced that they will deploy modified motorcycles as two-wheeler ambulances in rural areas as well as distribute over 10,000 meals every day to daily wage earners left stranded in Delhi-NCR, Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is learnt that out of total 100 crores, 50 percent will go to the relief efforts while the rest of the amount will go to the PM-Cares Fund. The Hero Group (BML Munjal family) companies contributing to this fund include Hero MotoCorp, Hero FinCorp, Hero Future Energies, Rockman Industries and Hero Electronix.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Speaking on the development, Dr. Pawan Munjal said, \u201cOur country, and indeed the entire world, is currently facing an unprecedented challenge in the form of COVID-19. In such critical times, it is of utmost importance and urgency that we all come together and support the marginalized sections of the society, along with those who are in dire conditions. In the extended Hero family, we are humbled in making this contribution, partially to the PM-Cares Fund and remaining towards relief efforts through other channels. I also urge the citizens of our country to support the Honourable Prime Minister and local authorities by staying home and help in stopping the spread of the pandemic coronavirus.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As per the group\u2019s initiative, BML Munjal University in Haryana has announced to offer its 2,000-bed hostel facility to be used as an isolation and treatment centre by the local health department. On the other hand, another company of the Hero Group, Hero Future Energies has offered to provide essential food items and hygiene kits to over 150 villages around its project sites.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hero FinCorp has also announced that it will offer a special subsidised product to the customers impacted by COVID-19. The product has been designed to help re-start their businesses and stabilize their cash flows.
