Tyre brands that came as the original equipment with the vehicles have the highest market share when their owners replace at least two tyres during the first two years of ownership. Among the Original Equipment, the highest share was assigned to Michelin (21%), Goodyear (12%), Continental (11%), Bridgestone (11%), and Pirelli (7%).<\/p>\n<p>According to the Senior Director of JD Power, tyre manufacturers who have their products fitted to new vehicles have a greater advantage over their competitors. As long as the customer is satisfied with the original equipped tyres&#8217; performance, there is a natural tendency that consumer will select the same brand for the replacement.<\/p>\n<p>It was also found in the study that luxury vehicle owners, when compared to mass market vehicle owners, more frequently purchase the original equipment tyre brand for their vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>In this study, the
