While removing the jumper cables, remove them in the reverse order in which they were attached to and don\u2019t let any of the cables touch each other. To disconnect, first disconnect the black clamp from the grounded metal on the dead car. Then disconnect the black clamp from the negative terminal of the good battery. Now disconnect the red clamp from the positive terminal of the good battery.
