The US Tyre Manufacturing giant has announced to expand its Chinese (Pulandian district) facility. The company has announced to spend around $485 million for the facility\u2019s further development at a ceremony. After its completion in 2020, the plant will allow Goodyear<\/strong><\/a> to produce about 5 million tyres a year. At present, the plant\u2019s capacity is around 1.5 million tyres a year (It includes Car & Truck Tyres).<\/p>\n

The company\u2019s CEO, Chairman, and President Richard J. Kramer was present at the ceremony. He said that Goodyear is seeing Asia-Pacific as a long-term market for its products. Goodyear\u2019s this investment will certainly make its position stronger in the Chinese market. Note that Goodyear was the first major Tyre maker to enter China way back in 1994.<\/p>\n
