Since nitrogen gas is cooler than other naturally compressed air, it reduces the chances of burst and is beneficial in almost every driving conditions. That’s why it is generally used in applications demanding extreme speeds or carrying high-load such as heavy commercial vehicles, wherein variations in pressure can affect vehicle handling.

So Is It Ok For Me To Use Nitrogen In Tyres?

Filling the tyres with nitrogen gas is becoming a craze in the industry, but for normal everyday users, this isn’t required. On the flip side, it is not harmful either. It permeates tyre inflation loss marginally but will not cause inflation due to puncture, valve leaks and other mechanical leaks. Nitrogen filled tyre does not lose pressure quickly due to a lot of molecules present, so one can expect longer tyre life. There are also fewer chances of rust and corrosion as there is no moisture compared to oxygen.

Stuffing tyres with nitrogen demand extra maintenance. So it is out of the question you need a specialist as you might also need regular wheel balancing and alignment to derive most out of your tyres. So it is pretty much that you only need a regular check, your tyre will serve just as well as it is filled with oxygen.
