Finally, the wait is over, and DSK Benelli India is all prepared to launch its awaited Benelli Tornado 302R in India around June 2017. In addition to this exciting revelation, another thrilling update is that Benelli Tornado 302R will be featuring performance oriented Metzeler tyres as standard fitment. In India, the German motorcycle tyre brand, Metzeler is famous among high-end performance bike fanatics and offers a complete range of performance tyres in the form of Metzeler M5-F, Metzeler M5-R, Metzeler M7-F and Metzeler M7-R. Known for their outstanding cornering and traction capabilities at high speeds, Metzeler tyres will now wrap the Tornado 302R front and rear wheels in 110/70 R 17 and 150/60 R 17 sizes respectively.

Earlier showcased at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo and India Bike Week 2016, Tornado 302R was intended for January 2017 launch, but the date was pushed back to June 2017 owing to the new BS IV emission norms. Of late, the high-performance bike segment in India has heated up with the entrance of high-performance motorcycles like Bajaj Dominar 400, KTM Duke 390, Mahindra Mojo and lately launched Yamaha FZ 25. And now with Benelli Tornado 302R, the segment will further bolster. Though the launch date is yet to finalised, Benelli dealerships in India have started taking bookings for the highly anticipated bike.

Tornado 302R, which is basically the faired version of Benelli TNT 300, is equipped with updated trellis frame, revised ergonomics and performance oriented Metzeler tyres. In addition, this performance bike will feature all-new lighter trellis frame alongside better handling dynamics.

Furthermore, Benelli Tornado 302R will come with a BS IV compliant 300cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine churning out 38 bhp and 27 Nm, and will be mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Other features comprise of a rear mono-shock suspension and standard dual-channel ABS across all models. Tornado 302R is expected to boast a price label of INR 3.5 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
