MARUTI ERTIGA TYRES:
The Maruti Ertiga variants namely VXi and VDi are fitted with full wheel cap and tyres of 185/65 R15 size. Since its launch in the year 2012, Maruti Ertiga MPV has been hitting decent sales number. But that has not prevented the No. 1 passenger car maker from updating its versatile vehicle with class-leading features from time to time. In the MPV segment Ertiga fights with the likes of Toyota Innova Crysta, Tata Hexa, Mahindra Xylo, Renault Lodgy and Honda BR-V. In addition to petrol, diesel and CNG options, the full 7-seater MPV based on the adaptable Swift platform is also offered in automatic transmission choice. One of the major USPs due to which it appeals to the masses in spite being an MPV is its compactness aspect. The aerodynamically shaped Maruti Ertiga measures less than 4300 mm.
Some of the key Maruti Ertiga features include SmartPlay infotainment, 5+2 flexi seating, 2nd row AC controls, push start with smart key, steering mount controls, second-row armrest, plush dashboard and others. Whereas, safety cordon list comprise of SRS airbags, rear parking sensors and camera, ABS with EBD, height adjustable front seat belts with pre-tensioners etc.
The petrol powered Ertiga with its 1.4 L K14B engine yields 91.1 bhp and 130 Nm. Maruti Ertiga petrol is mated to a choice of either 5-speed manual transmission or 4-speed automatic transmission. Similarly, the D13A SmartHybrid 1.3 L diesel variant gives out 88.5 bhp and 200 Nm of power and torque values respectively. Moreover, the sole CNG fuel avatar with VXi model pumps out 60 bhp and 112 Nm. Be it petrol, diesel or even CNG when it comes Maruti Ertiga mileage, it never lets down. The handy MPV delivers an ARAI certified mileage of 17.50 kmpl, 24.52 kmpl and 24.59 km/kg in the aforementioned order.

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is available in as many as 14 trims. The Ertiga price list starts with INR 6.24 Lakh and ends at INR 8.76 for the petrol variants, meanwhile the sole petrol led CNG variant is tagged at INR 8.18 Lakh. I have 5 Years old (May – 2013) Maruti Ertiga Petrol, 70k kms used. My usage will be 85% city mostly on weekends hardly 15% on highway. Please suggest me best tyre for my usage and with price efficiency.. How about going with MRF as ertiga came with MRF. Please give me 2-3 options. with their pro & cons if possible.

As you will drive your Ertiga mostly in the city conditions, you can go with MRF ZVTV tyre (Tubeless) to experience a comfortable ride. And if fuel efficiency is your preference, then you can consider fitting MRF ZSLK tyre (Tubeless).

I am using ERTIGA from 2013, but having very low usage just 21k km in last 6 years, wheel balancing and alignment shop recommend to change the tyre as they are developing cracks ,Good year tyre company fitted. Yes, you should get the tyres changed as they are 6 years old. Also, they aren’t covered under warranty anymore. As the OEM fitment tyre brand is Goodyear, you can continue with the same, if you wish to. If you wish to continue with the same Goodyear brand, Goodyear Assurance Triplemax can be a good option to with. Or else, you can consider buying Michelin Energy XM2 or Yokohama Earth 1.
Because all tyres are made of rubber, they will eventually exhibit some type of cracking. This usually happens when the tyre gets older. Other than tyre ageing, cracking can also be caused when tyres are exposed to heat due to vehicle exhaust, ozone and sunlight.

I have 6 year old VDi ertiga, the oEM was MRF ZVTV.
MRF gave me 60k of decent mileage. I replaced tyres with Michillen XM2 which last 55k. Now I am planning to replace 2nd instance of tyres but with upsizing. My annual run is 18k including city and highway. Plz suggest any upsizing tyres.

We purchased Ertiga VDI smart hybrid model in 2018, the vehicle covered 18000 kms and now we have problem in front tier, the tyre totally bulged, we asked the local mechanical shop and they said good year company tyres does not give good life so he is asking to change all the four tyres but the company said after the coverage of 40000 only there will be some chances to change the tyre.. So need some suggestion here sir.
