JK Vectra Tyre Compound
The JK Vectra tyres are manufactured using the new age compound which makes it durable and contributes to greater mileage. The rubber compounds used in the tyre manufacturing ensures sturdiness in any given condition, making it perfect for the Indian roads. Also in addition to being robust, Vectra possesses excellent reliability in the long run. With its ultra high strength alloy steel belts, it provides exceptional resistance to puncture.
JK Vectra Tyre Construction Type
JK Vectra tyre has come up with unique tread rib design which lowers the noise output. This tread design also helps in achieving matchless steering control even at high speeds. Also, its sidewalls are flexible enough to compress or expand with the terrain, thereby providing rigidity to the tyre and improving the ride quality. Moreover, the stabiliser groove design technology provides supreme handling and grip on roads. The groove design of JK Vectra is such that it hands out improved braking performance in wet/dry conditions.
Verdict
The JK Vectra is sure to set eyeballs rolling for its aesthetic appeal. Apart from this, its innovative features like the specialised supple sidewalls and unique tread pattern render the tyre its best performance in terms of handling and braking capability at high speeds. It offers excellent driving experience with its improved cornering capabilities. Although the company quotes it as a “low noise tyre“, but under practical conditions, it has some noise issues. To summarise, the noise of the tyre is a slight hindrance but that can be compromised when the overall positive points are taken into consideration. The verdict is out that JK Vectra is a winner all the way when the value for money and the fuel efficiency factors are considered.
I currently have 165/65 R70 Goodyear DP H1 on my Grand i10. These were noisy even when new. Due to an accident I got a single replacement Apollo 4G Life. I find both these tyres noisy.
I now wish to change tyres to JK Vectra size 165/70 R14. JK is attractive option considering the price. Do you feel Vectra are less noisy than my current tyres?
Dear Sanket
The stock tyre size for Hyundai Grand i10 is 165/65R14. Yes, JK Vectra is a low noise tyre and is widely available in various sizes. You can also buy Yokohama Earth-1 E400, it will also provide you low noise, high mileage & smooth ride.

How do Vectra tyres compare with Apollo Acelere in terms of road noise?
Dear Sanket,
JK Vectra and Apollo Acelere both will provide you less noise, however it will also depend on your usage and the road condition. To mention, Apollo Acelere is these days very rarely available in the market. You can buy JK Vectra as it is one of the top selling tyre patterns by the tyre brand JK Tyre.
