Sherco TVS Rally Factory Team’s Joan Pedrero Garcia is now placed at the 16th spot in the third stage of the Dakar. Raced between San Miguel de Tucuman and San Salvador de Jujuy, Juan finished 33’56 ” behind the winner. The Spanish rider finally gained the 14th spot overall, which was 35’10 ‘behind the leader. At the beginning of the special route he, like the other riders, found himself lost and this little error took about fifteen minutes to find the right course. On the other hand, Adrien Metge had to content with 32nd position in this third stage at 59’50 ”behind the winner. Besides the excitement fever, the 3rd day of the motorsport event also bought sheer setback for the Indian motorsport fans as Aravind KP from team Sherco TVS was ruled out of the Dakar Rally 2017 due to injury. He had a crash at 40 kilometer into Stage 3 of the rally which caused a serious damage to his right shoulder. Prior to this, yesterday also Aravind became the victim of an accident where he got his wrist damaged badly. With the broken wrist and injured shoulder, it was not easy for him to continue the race tournament. Bengaluru boy Aravind KP, who made his Dakar Rally debut this very year, is now under medical supervision and is being treated by the medical team.
The 4th stage of the Dakar Rally 2017 will be raced between San Salvador de Jujuy and Tupiza on Thursday. A total distance of 521 kilometers, out of which, 416 kilometers comprise of a special route).
